The ideal candidate must fully understand the principles of care and the value of fine art and furniture and can perform the following tasks:

 Primary duties & responsibilities are:

  • Drive a 26ft truck locally and long distance.
  • Pick up and deliver a variety of artworks including paintings, sculptures, antiques and furniture
  • Inspects artworks to determine how, where, when, or if to touch them and how to pack for transport
  • Understands how to properly wrap, load, span, tie in artworks within a truck to keep them safe and stable during transport
  • Selects proper archival and other packing materials depending upon the medium, surfaces, condition and fragility of the works in question
  • Packs artworks of all descriptions
  • Installs artworks professionally in settings ranging from corporate to residential, including selection of proper hardware and exercise of aesthetic judgment as needed
  • Prepares condition reports and photographs artworks as needed
  • Completes critical paperwork such as inventories and bills of lading with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Has the “people” skills and situational awareness to work with a partner or larger crew in a seamless way, taking leadership and direction as needed to complete the task at hand

  • Packing Fine Art, Antiques and Interior Design Furniture
  • Case Making
  • Completion of both written and digital inventories
  • Warehouse duties when required

  • No experience required, although useful
  • Full comprehension of the spoken and written English language 
  • Able to work in a loud environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Very strong attention to detail

  • Picking up and delivering a variety of artworks including paintings, sculptures and high value furniture of all descriptions
  • Preparing condition reports and photographs of artwork
  • Efficiently completing and handling paperwork
  • Interacting with clients and art professionals 
  • Expert handling and packing of various types of art, antique and interior design items
  • Communication with warehouse and operational teams

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Full comprehension of the written and spoken English language
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Flexibility with working hours
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to wrap/pack valuable artwork whilst in presence of client

Qualifications:

  • Class 1 licence
  • Clean driving record
