The ideal candidate must fully understand the principles of care and the value of fine art and furniture and can perform the following tasks:

 Primary duties & responsibilities are:

  • Drive a 26ft truck locally and long distance.
  • Pick up and deliver a variety of artworks including paintings, sculptures, antiques and furniture
  • Inspects artworks to determine how, where, when, or if to touch them and how to pack for transport
  • Understands how to properly wrap, load, span, tie in artworks within a truck to keep them safe and stable during transport
  • Selects proper archival and other packing materials depending upon the medium, surfaces, condition and fragility of the works in question
  • Packs artworks of all descriptions
  • Installs artworks professionally in settings ranging from corporate to residential, including selection of proper hardware and exercise of aesthetic judgment as needed
  • Prepares condition reports and photographs artworks as needed
  • Completes critical paperwork such as inventories and bills of lading with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Has the “people” skills and situational awareness to work with a partner or larger crew in a seamless way, taking leadership and direction as needed to complete the task at hand

Primary duties and responsibilities are:

  • Load/unload trucks, trailers & containers including accurate completion of paperwork
  • To assist as required with the receipt, checking and dispatch of all goods which pass through the warehouse or are handled by the Company
  • General warehouse duties
  • Housekeeping of warehouse and yard
  • Matching deliveries with dockets
  • Completion of tasks as set by Warehouse Supervisor
  • Immediate reporting of any damages to management team
  • Manual Handling
  • Observe Health and Safety regulations at all times

Essential skills:

  • Proven experience of driving Fork Lift Truck and use of other MHE
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Relevant experience within a warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules
  • Self-motivated with good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Full comprehension of the written and spoken English language
  • Knowledge/Familiarity of delivery documentation/paperwork
  • Physically fit and able

Primary duties and responsibilities are:

  • Collections and deliveries of fine art, antiques and interior design furniture within Europe
  • Wrap and pack items on site
  • Loading and securing all goods in vehicle for safe transport
  • Able to be away from the UK for up to three weeks at a time*
  • During quiet periods you may be required to assist with warehouse duties
  • Completing detailed inventories for all goods collected
  • Uphold company values of providing excellent service to our customers
  • Execute work as instructed to a high standard
  • Comply at all times with DFT vehicle standards
  • Complete regular vehicle checks
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of our vehicles both internally and externally
  • Work safely and responsibly adhering to company policies at all times

*we look to rotate schedules between shorter and longer trips

Essential skills:

  • Preferred HGV class 1 licence  however we will consider HGV class 2 licence holders that show the required attributes, we will then offer the opportunity to train to HGV class 1
  • Up to date CPC qualification
  • Digital tacho card
  • Valid passport
  • Experience in a fast paced working environment
  • Experience preferred, although not essential
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • comfortable being away from home for extended periods
  • Ability to work to very tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexible with working hours
  • Full comprehension of the written and spoken English language
  • Professional appearance 
  • Comfortable interacting with clients face to face

Our European fleet consists up to date hi spec Mercedes gigaspace LHD trucks that pull a-frame trailers. Experience of driving this type of vehicle is preferred but training will be given by our current experienced drivers.
