Yves Klein - Blenheim Palace

Williams & Hill worked closely with Blenheim Art Foundation and the Yves Klein Archives to unpack, handle and install over fifty artworks at Blenheim Palace for the Yves Klein exhibition, marking his largest UK retrospective to date. One of the most influential artists of his generation, Yves Klein’s (1928-1962) pioneering artistic experiments anticipated and inspired movements in conceptual art, minimalism and performance art.

The exhibition incorporates art from Klein’s wide ranging practice including painting, sculpture and large-scale installation. A particular highlight for Williams & Hill was the install of the monumental pigment piece, Dry Pigment, which required careful planning and a dedicated team of art technicians with a full understanding of the space and the complexities of the material.

The Yves Klein exhibition is on view from 18th July – 7th October 2018.

Palmyra Arch – Trafalgar Square

The 2,000-year-old ‘Palmyra Arch’ was devastated during ISIS bombing attacks on Syria, but it has since been recreated, down to the finest detail, using a 3D printer. The Arch is now touring the world, installed alongside some of the most famous global landmarks.

Williams & Hill were approached to collect and install the Palmyra Arch below Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square. Using a Hi-ab truck and our skilled team, we were able to erect the Arch in time for its grand unveiling by London Mayor, Boris Johnson.

Bronze Oak Grove 2017 - Rob & Nick Carter

Rob and Nick Carter’s Bronze Oak Grove, 2017 is a manifestation of the Tree Stump drawn by Jacob de Gheyn II in 1600.  Taking the everyday and elevating it into something extraordinary, the Carters’ Oak Grove is a timeless, inclusive piece that crosses the boundaries of culture and age.  It is a place where people can sit and relax with family and friends or meet and interact as a group.

Williams and Hill were commissioned to install Rob and Nick Carter's Tree Stumps in London's Hyde Park
